Кортикостерон – малозначимый и сравнительно малоактивный минералкортикоидный гормон коры надпочечников у человека. Однако у крысы кортикостерон является основным и наиболее активным для нее глюкокортикоидом, подобно кортизолу у человека. Гормон принимает участие в водно-солевом обмене, улучшает циркуляцию крови, увеличивает кровяное давление.
